Group chats the world over were electric this week with the arrival of Kendrick Lamar’s response record to—not one, but two(!) Drake songs ridiculing Lamar’s height and calling into question his fortitude as an MC (“Push Ups,” “Taylor Made”). Lamar fans waited patiently in the aftermath of each of those releases until their prayers were answered in the form of “euphoria,” a scathing six-plus minutes of exceptional bar work where Kendrick references the beef Drake bowed out of with Pusha T, calls him out for absentee parenting, and even refers to himself the “biggest hater,” rattling off a short list of things he has apparently always disliked about Drake.
