Frosty

About Frosty

South London rapper Frosty brings a swaggering presence to the UK drill scene. Born Theo Beckford in the English district of Streatham, the MC specializes in creating music that sounds nonchalant, yet revelatory at once. Frosty encountered immediate success with his debut single, 2019’s “County Lines,” a menacing track driven by vivid storytelling about street life. The braggadocious side of Frosty’s personality shone through on the 2020 single “H2O,” which sees the artist boasting about his hard-earned wins. Later that year, Frosty dropped his breakthrough mixtape, Under Surveillance, evolving the drill sound into contemplative territory with tracks like the evocative title track featuring fellow UK rapper Unknown T. Other songs on the project, like “Steppaz,” expand on the dark narratives that pepper his life experiences. But Frosty also makes it a point to showcase his charisma, as he does successfully on the atmospheric deep cut “Soccer Mums.”
