The Next Stage For Jamie and Ryan
Touch Me is the fourth book in the spin-off series from Stark International by J Kenner. In this novella, Jamie Archer cannot believe how wonderful her life has turned out. She is married to the sexiest man on the planet, Ryan Hunter, and is set to star in a blockbuster movie that will make her career. Then the least maternal woman on the planet discovers that she is pregnant, and her due date interferes with the filming of her movie. Ryan is more than ready to start a family. He has always supported Jamie’s ambition, but he is blindsided when he learns about their baby from the paparazzi. Feeling hurt, angry, and fearing that Jamie will choose her career over family, he tries to hold on tighter and only manages to push her away. Faced with being on different pages, Jamie and Ryan must figure out how to restrengthen their bond and find a way to move forward together. I think this may be my favorite of the four novellas telling Jamie and Ryan’s story. The dilemmas that women face between wanting their careers and having a family are universal and captured so perfectly in this novella. Jamie struggles a great deal with the idea of motherhood and the desire to make her husband happy. Her unplanned pregnancy comes at a critical time in her career, and it can be hard to have it all. The journey that this couple takes is magical to observe. There is still plenty of spice in this well paced and well written novella. This can be read on its’ own, as part of the Jamie/Ryan series, or in chronological order as part of the Stark International series as a whole. I wholeheartedly recommend this novella for readers who enjoy spicy contemporary romance. I would like to thank 1001 Dark Nights and J Kenner for this ARC. I have voluntarily written this honest review and the opinions expressed are my own.
Jamie & Ryan a story continuation
Jamie & Ryan Hunter have played auntie and uncle to the Stark kids for years. Ryan is developing dad fever and Jaime is finally on the cusp of her biggest break yet in Hollywood.
When an unexpected pregnancy arises, the couple have to face the decision is it or isn’t the right timing for their family.
I do wish this story was longer but it’s great getting a glimpse at beloved side characters Ollie, Evelyn, and Stark security side kicks.

Wasn’t in the plan!
It was nice to visit with Jaime and Ryan. We’ve seen them in other stories but we haven’t had an updated look into their present life. Everything seemed to be going as planned with both of their careers, especially Jaime’s. Things were finally going the way that she’s worked so hard to achieve. But, life always throws in a surprise. For one, it’s a happy one. For the other, it’s scary and very unexpected. How will it end up for one of our favorite couples?
