Da Apples Bücher-App keine Hörbücher per iCloud synchronisiert (Ebooks aber schon)und ich immer wieder unterwegs verärgert war, die falschen Audiobooks „eingepackt“ zu haben, brauchte ich endlich Abhilfe.
Viele Apps mit Cloud-Anbindung ignorieren dabei iCloud. Dafür gebe ich bereits gut Geld aus, sodass ich nicht noch was anderes buchen will.
Every Word schließt endlich die Lücke. Ich habe nun immer all meine Hörbücher bei mir – zumindest wenn ich Internetzugang habe. Das habe ich natürlich viel häufiger als ich mein MacBook dabei habe, um langwierig zu synchronisieren.
Every Word ist aber nich nicht perfekt. Es stürzt regelmäßig ab, nachdem ein Buch geladen wurde und manchmal benötige ich auch mehrere Anläufe.
Einige Kritikpunkte und Wünsche wurden mittlerweile bearbeitet, weshalb ich nur noch wenig vermisse:
Das ist vor allem eine Gruppierungen nach Genre und Autor. Meine Sammlung ist recht groß geworden und in Every Word etwas mühevoll zu durchstöbern. Die nachgereichte Suche mindert die Schmerzen jedoch.
Wäre toll, wenn der Entwickler der App noch etwas Liebe schenken würde.

Die App ist prima soweit, nur wird mein iPhone 15 Pro ziemlich schnell ziemlich warm…

There was a bug in recent versions of Every Word that was causing high battery usage during playback. I fixed it in the latest update.
