From the very first episode I could relate to all of this. Being told "some people just can't put the fork down" by a medical professional, feeling so uncomfortable in my body, clothes not fitting, the journey just not working. It's so painful to go through and everyone you meet says it's not that hard, just work out. It's painful to know others feel the same but it's also incredibly comforting.

Required listening. I am a norm-size athletic college professor teaching human anatomy and physical therapy. I have been looking for a better understanding and language to talk about body size. This podcast unlocked both my implicit biases about weight and suppressed hurt being called “sturdy” and “chub rub”. I recommend for EVERYONE who wants to just think a little harder about how we view bodies, health, and our place in both!
