They Walk Among Us - UK True Crime

I really love the work done by this podcast!! And I do so much that while I’m able I put my money where my mouth is…as we say here in the US. While I can which may not be much longer, I’m happy to do it. You guys seem to understand that TRUE Crime can mean TRULY HEINOUS,TRULY MACABRE, TRULY FRIGHTENING, etc. You give reasonable notice advising listeners the episode may not be for them & you get on w/it w/all it’s: TRUE Crime-ness in all it’s Real Reality Realness (Forgive the alliteration!) And my favorite part? When Benjamin says: And where are we now? The great wrong is righted! Justice is served! Injustice is resolved… Whatever needs to happen; does. Except when it’s a bit too real and justice goes horribly wrong…etc, etc. Convictions are unsafe; sentences are too short… too long, too harsh; guilty die before judgement can be passed: life; death

This use to be one of my favorite podcasts. I appreciate learning about the cases that are outside the US. In the past year or so, it seems far less time is spend on the happenings prior going to court (background context, victims, community, investigation, perpetrator arrest) and now too much time is spent simply stating the back-&-forth narrative in the courtroom. The courtroom part used to be maybe 20% of an episode, now it feels more like 65% of an episode. It drags on too long. I liked the format of episodes better previously. The podcast is still good for hearing about cases that are new to me, but now I listen to it when I have no unplayed episodes on all my other podcasts.
