Great book with gorgeous illustrations
Your kids will love this book and it’s great it encourages them to try foods and think in a more sophisticated way about what is “best”. The illustrations by Gianna Ruggiero really steal the show though.they’re beautiful and endearing and thoroughly engaging! We need more books illustrated by Gianna Ruggiero! And Kenji’s message for kids is so authentic and really helpful for enjoying food and in cooking in all its forms and traditions!
Brilliant!
I have been a fan of Kenji since way back and this book is a glorious representation of him, packaged for small children. Diversity is important to me, one who grew up in a melting-pot suburb of Detroit and very much appreciates the influences and improvements other cultures have made to the quilt that is America.
