Customer Reviews
Thorough!
I admire Matt’s attempts to condense reviews for great books to under an hour, but he gets it done and adds a lot of thought provoking commentary. Can’t wait for more episodes!
Worth a listen, even if you have read the book
I had actually read Lauren Fleshman’s book but Matt’s highlights were thought provoking and I reflected on some items in a different way. Don’t confuse this podcast with a book review, it’s much more than that!
Must-Listen Show from Award-Winning Journalist
I devoured Matt's excellent book about the dirty secrets of Nike's running program. So my expectations were sky high when I came across this podcast. Somehow, Matt exceeded them. As he writes about sports, high-performance, and interesting people for a living, he has an eye for telling detail and pulls out the pivotal moments in athletes' journeys. As a big Tommy Caldwell fan, I found that episode particularly compelling. If you like athlete stories, good books, or just an unlikely yarn, this podcast should be in your regular rotation.
