Lies of My Monster: Monster Trilogy, Book 2 (Unabridged)

Holy smokes! 𝐑𝐢𝐧𝐚 𝐊𝐞𝐧𝐭 has brought us back to the incredibly twisted, angst filled world that is Kirill and Sasha. Once again, I was instantly transported to the mafia life and kept hooked until the end!

As with book 1, 𝐑𝐢𝐧𝐚 𝐊𝐞𝐧𝐭 takes us on one heck of a ride, with emotions, twists, turns and passion beyond belief in this second installment. I found myself falling harder for Kirill, with all his darkness. And Sasha was once again a great character.

Narrators Brooke Daniels & Sebastian York brought these characters to life once again. I felt every emotion through their voices and I loved every second of it!

I am looking forward to book 3 because that cliffy at the end???? That was absolutely, wonderfully cruel and I need to know what happens next!

OKAY. WELL. I really don’t know where to start here. I’d said in my last review that I was going to read (or listen, rather) to book 2 of this series because that cliffhanger at the end of Blood of My Monster had me SHOOK. That day has finally come, and I’m gonna be honest here I don’t love this book any more than the last.

I really don’t understand how Sasha is still alive at this point. She makes terrible decisions and does not use her head AT ALL. My girl Rina once again came through with that cliffy at the end of this one though, so I will once again be continuing the series because I’m nosy and need to know what’s going to happen next. Clearly I’m a glutton for punishment and just like Sasha, I, too, never learn.

I was anxious for the second after the first book and now I’m really dying for the 3rd! Luckily the wait shouldn’t be too bad… but man! You were left on a serious cliffhanger in the first and I completely understood how everything was playing out after. Sasha drives me crazy sometimes but then I remember her age. As for Kiril, he’s got me all kinds of confused right now. I don’t know who to believe anymore or what to believe either. If what is being hinted at is actually happening I want to slap him so hard, but I have a feeling Sasha is being betrayed by others more than him… or maybe that’s just wishful thinking? Either way the chemistry between these two is so good and I really hope RK redeems herself in the final installment for everything she’s put us through!
