Norwegian melodic death metal outfit Haunted by Silhouettes skillfully merge the old-school with the new, combining low-tuned guitars and growling vocals with neck-snapping metalcore and icy progressive metal. Born from the blueprints of Scandinavian death metal institutions such as In Flames, At the Gates, and Dark Tranquillity, the band issued their gritty debut EP, The Final Mind Plague, in 2014. They adopted a more defined and epic approach to writing and recording for 2018's expansive Shortcuts to Dead Ends and 2019's fortifying and sorrowful Last Day on Earth. HBS inked a deal with Eclipse Records ahead of the release of their 2022 concept EP No Man Isle, which was inspired by the works of English metaphysical poet John Donne.
