Mark Jaimes is a contemporary jazz and R&B guitarist, composer, and producer. He has been an active session and touring musician since 1992. His playing style weds the funky, multi-string chromatic lyricism of Grant Green and George Benson to the vamping, funky, rhythmic prowess of Ronny Jordan and Chuck Loeb. He joined Simply Red for 1998's charting Blue and remained until 2003; he continues to play on their records but is no longer a member. Jaimes has been the house guitarist for England's storied Pizza Express jazz club since 2010. He released Hear at Last, his debut album for Trippin N' Rhythm Records, in 2021.
