Almost Christian: Chandrika Doesn't Want to Die a Christian
“The womb is limited in space and expansion. So just as we all outgrow it, I’ve grown out of the religion I was born into. The same appreciation I have for the womb of my mother is also owed to Christianity. If it were not for the Christian faith, I wouldn’t have my relationship with God. But just as the womb is 9 months after embryo growth to birth, Christianity is now too small for the reflection and expression of God I’ve been called to.”

Stories that inspire curiosity
I have enjoyed the way these interviews offer insight into the stories of those being interviewed and how they are presented in a way that invites curiosity and exploration of faith, life, and the church.
Refreshing, Honest, and Open
I seriously love what Brandon is doing with Almost Church. We need more open and honest conversation about our faith journeys that isn’t geared toward making us believe any certain thing, but invites us into deeper relationship with others, ourselves, and the Divine. Almost Church does just that.
In my opinion
Bran, your idea of almost church is something so many people need and are looking for. Too many times, churches have lead by the wrong example. They have been and are legalistic and judgmental. The people are “holier than thou” instead of loving on those who are hurting, broken, messed up. Happy hour on Monday night is a great idea. I love your heart and I love you!
Ash, your honesty is priceless! You are not fake and I don’t see how you could ever be. I don’t see you as a “pastors wife” in the traditional sense. But in almost church you would be an amazing pastors wife in an honest, sincere and loving way. I love your heart and I love you!
