Please read
The start was pretty slow but it got so good that it was worth it. I was nervous about the second book because the first one was so amazing that I didn’t know if she could top it but SHE DID.
I do understand why there was a long beginning because a lot of things needed to be explained but it could have been just a bit more interesting. I am not trying to be mean but it did take some from the book and that said this is now one of my favorite books so I really am not trying to hate on this book at all.
Honestly Brigid put so much love into this book and I in turn loved it to.
I wanted to point out as well that Rhen was not my favorite in this book. And he kind of got worse as the book progressed so please redeem him in the next book as he really is a good guy his head is just not in the right place sometimes. I also had this feeling with Jake and most of the time I feel like Brigid could have not added him in this book and I would have liked it a lot better.
Also I liked Lia Mara better than I did Harper and I thought Harper was amazing but Lia Mara was an incredible lead character.
The political war in this book was really good as well and the plot twists were never ending leading to me being on the edge of my seat the last 50% of the book.
Thank you Brigid for this amazing book and I can’t wait to read the next one.
Definitely work the read
I was super hesitant to read this book because A Curse So Dark and Lovely was so good I thought there was no way it could get better but !!!! I am so glad I read it. Did not disappoint at all! Just might have bested A Curse So Dark and Lovely. I’m again hesitant to read the next book in the trilogy but I’m sure I will. Amazing novel!

I think I loved this even more than the first book!!! Lots of surprises, Magic and romance! I really need the next book now!! Oh my god what a twist at the end!!!! Did not see that coming! Could not put this book down but at the same time didn’t want it to end! I love this author’s work!!
