About Mitch Hedberg

One of comedy's tragic anti-heroes, Mitch Hedberg was considered by many to be poised to become stand-up's first huge break-out star of the post-Jerry Seinfeld era. Hedberg was a stridently apolitical performer who rarely used profanity, and whose routine consisted of strange, off-kilter one-line observations delivered in a relaxed slacker style that made him something of a Steven Wright for the Kurt Cobain generation. Hedberg had a huge cult following and recorded two brilliant comedy albums before succumbing to a drug overdose in 2005.
