There are so many ways to approach your time on the water, and how to obtain that pure feeling of freedom we get when we are on and around the saltwater. I hope to expand everyone’s approach through this podcast by offering an avenue in which you can learn from not only my experiences and stories but also hear from others who have the same passion and love for sportfishing in every respect. I personally love to teach and love to learn, so my goal through this podcast is to do both! I am looking forward to guiding this podcast in a direction to shed light on all things fishing and also all of the peripheral things involved with fishing such as boatbuilding, boating upgrades, tackle, fishing reports, fishing travel, and more. I hope through this podcast that I can help make your lives easier by sharing something helpful with you from my experiences as well as my guests’ experiences and knowledge as well.

In Episode 36, our host, Captain Ricky Wheeler, talks with Stephen Rhodes. Stephen is from Northern NJ and has a lot of time and experience on the water starting at a very early age with his grandfather and his father. He has some great stories of going to the canyons in the early 80s on up to fishing with his sons out of Northern NJ for tunas and whatever else may bite. The biggest topic of this episode is "how to get kids into fishing".

Mark spends the summer season running charters for tuna out of Northern NJ every year, and his Winters fishing for giant bluefin tuna out of North Carolina. They discuss the progression of both offshore and inshore tuna fishing along the east coast as well as some tips and tricks to catch more tunas.
