I really enjoyed this second chance book, featuring a mature couple.
Henrietta is four years older than Walter, that is irrelevant now as he’s in his forties and she’s in her fifties. But when they were teenagers, Walter fell for Henrietta, who married George. A lifetime later, after she is widowed and has two adult sons, will Walter finally make his affection for her known?
I thought Walter was great on how he was sneaky in caring for Henrietta in so many ways. But I wasn’t down with Henrietta sneaking him around. Come on, the man waited a lifetime for her!
But, it’s so rare we get well written couples who are probably the age of the people reading them.
