Publisher Description
In USA Today bestselling author Julie Anne Long’s latest installment in the Palace of Rogues series, a notorious rake meets his match in a lovely girl from the country, changing the course of both of their futures…
A London season is the chance of a lifetime for Catherine Keating. But the ton’s glitter and decadence and casual cruelty threaten to crush her hopes of finding a husband before her season even begins...until she accidentally acquires one of the most scandalous men in England as a secret chaperone.
Famously fiery Lord Dominic Kirke can hold the House of Commons—and any woman he chooses— in thrall. But when his house goes up in flames in the dead of night, he finds himself at the Grand Palace on the Thames. And there he discovers his cynical armor is no match for another guest: an innocent country girl with a crackling wit and eyes like a summer sky.
He's maddening, elusive, hopelessly charismatic, wrong in every way—perfectly designed to break her heart. But she doesn't know she holds his battered heart in her hands. And though it will destroy him, Dominic knows loving her means setting Catherine free for the life—and man—she deserves.

See AllOne of the best of this series
I absolutely loved the interplay between Cat and Kirke. Witty and flirtatious, I enjoyed the development of their mutual attraction so much. And Cat’s character was especially refreshing - she was young but had a head on her shoulders, accepted her new London experiences and the various types of people she encountered in a very mature manner that I liked a lot. And of course, their sex scenes were hot. Well done all around!
My Season of Scandal
This story is something special. The characters are vivid, magnificently fleshed out and the book is sooo well written. It will make you smile and it will make you sob. You will be enchanted.
Love!
Lots of hiding places for Miss Catherine Keating and Lord Dominic Kirke in “My Season of Scandal” by Julie Anne Long, seventh in the Palace of Rogues Series!
Miss Keating had one season to find a husband on the London marriage mart with the help of a Lady however it’s another The Grand Palace on the Thames guest who’s made it known her late night singing isn’t appreciated, handsome Lord Kirke, who helped her the most along the way.
As always, the TGPOTT is ever entertaining with the growing staff, loyal guests, and new guests. Thank goodness for the house rules and it’s forced proximity of the guests to get to know each other! I loved Dot and her growing pains with the new footman, Pike, and Delacorte with his continual addition into the swear jar.
I loved the fast friendship between Keating and Kirke! He looked out for her when her own chaperone was gaming. Their banter was humorous and sarcastic. And, their attraction to each other was perfect for their slow burn. His House of Lords speech with a hidden reference was such a great love letter to the one he never wanted scandal to touch.
If you enjoy a Lord with a life-long mission to look out for the less fortunate and right wrongs, plus a doctor’s daughter and assistant who found herself shifting from novice to popular, then ignored before a tear jerking love speech, then I highly recommend this book!!!
