First time author read for me. Caroline and Jake meet under dire circumstances. Immediately there’s a connection. Lots of action and drama. Jake is very protective and has to work hard to earn Caroline’s heart. Steamy. HEA.
Fast paced military romance
This is the first book in the Marine Raiders series and it starts out with a bang. Caroline agrees to go to a party on a yacht with a man she had just met. Not the thrill she was expecting when she discovers her date doing a drug deal. She is discovered and the drug dealer doesn’t like loose ends. Her date is killed and when she realizes she is next she throws herself overboard. Jake his his team are doing training in the ocean when Jake discovers her clinging to a buoy. He is attracted to her instantly but she vowed to never get involved with a military man. Jake is determined to change her mind. A good story with danger,suspense, some humor, hot chemistry and awesome characters. The secondary characters were fun, interesting and I look forward to their stories as well.

Pleasantly surprised and intrigued.
Good one. Had never read this author and was pleasantly surprised. It kept me interested and I enjoyed it.
