#129: Celebrate the Triggers
In this mindset episode, we are talking about the triggers.  The triggers others experience from our words, messages, and posts, and the triggers we create in others.  The triggers tell us a lot about ourselves and about others.  The triggers are gifts, opportunities for us to learn and grow and opportunities to see that our messages are landing.  The women in The Radical Responsibility Mastermind are at the point where they are openly sharing their stories and this takes GUTS!  I will continue to honour their courage and vulnerability that it takes to share their stories with the world.  Are they causing ripples or triggers?  Yes they are and I am so proud of them for showing up and sharing their stories to impact others!   Celebrate the triggers…You are on the right path.
In this episode, we discuss:
When your message triggers someone, ie. They send you a message, a text, a hurtful comment or voice mail, STOP and take a BREATHE. Just because someone says something doesn’t mean you need to respond.  Taking Radical Responsibility means we choose how we respond. Don’t take it personally. It is not about you at all! What triggers someone is all about them, just like whatever triggers you are ALL on YOU!  Focus on the intention as to why you are sharing your story or your message. If you are sharing from a space of love, give back or supporting someone else then great.  If you are sharing from a space of blame, finger-pointing, or sharing from someone else’s view, then you are not in the right.  That is the wrong space to share the story from. Triggers give us the opportunity to see what has to be healed, what is unresolved, and where we need to do more work. Triggers seriously are gifts so treat them as a gift. When one happens, stop and ask yourself what is this trying to teach me? Don’t stop sharing your message because of your fear of what others will say. Someone somewhere is praying for the solutions you have learned on your journey.  Share from a space of respect and love, and share to continue to support others.  Let the triggers land!
