New series!

Over a decade ago, I stumbled across a free book in the iBook store called UnEnchanted. The cover looked neat so I downloaded it and started to read. What I didn’t know is that Chanda Hahn would become one of my favourite authors and that would still be one of the best series I ever read. So when I realized we were stepping back into the world and lore created back then, I was over the moon.

Everly is the daughter of a homicide detective and her upbringing has been influenced by her father’s career. Escape rooms have nothing on being handcuffed in a basement with only your wits and training to escape. Games of “Guess how they died” and lessons about defence, trusting your gut, and reading people are par for the course when your father sees the worst of the world at work.

After a tragedy, Everly inherits the second sight needed to become a Griever and is invited to join the local private school Gravemark. There she meets others like her who have the sight and hunt the creatures that stalk the human world called Grimms. But a local case where people are being mauled to death by a “wild animal” along with some strange things at Gravemark have Everly’s instincts telling her something isn’t exactly what it seems.
