39. Overcoming Adolescent Depression & Anxiety With Sadie Sutton

Just Mands The Podcast

In this episode, I sit down with 17 year old Sadie Sutton from the She Persisted Podcast to recount her experience with mental health issues. At 13 years old, Sadie suffered from severe depression and anxiety and spent a year and a half in intensive care treatment. We chat about her success with DBT, how her mental health issues impacted her parents and siblings, the importance of recognizing adolescent mental health issues, social media, cancel culture, and how to identify mental health issues in teenagers. I think this is a really important conversation for us to have and am so happy Sadie was willing to share her story. We also chatted about pregnancy, mental health, and blogging over on her podcast, so go check me out over there (our episode goes live 12/18/20)!
