New Interface
Love the latest update, the new interface is much easier to use and more responsive, a worthwhile update.
Awful backwards update
App has introduced totally unnecessary additional screen, doesn’t open to current live view, is unstable and buggy. Very slow to get to live view and it frequently flicks back to this weird screen which shows a view from some other random period. The tiled layout makes thumbnails far too small. It’s making me seriously consider removing all my HIK cameras and replacing them with something else. Absolute rubbish. If you’re new to CCTV, buy a different system. This app needs a radical overhaul urgently. In the meantime we need the option to roll back to the previous app version. Complete trash.
Persistent ‘network unstable’ issue
The app works fine until I try to watch playback - then I get a count on the screen up to about 85% or so, followed by “Network unstable - reconnecting”. It happens every time so I can’t watch any playback. Advice on the internet says that my network is too slow - but both the upload and download speeds are excellent. I have spent HOURS trying every suggestion out there - nothing works. With the previous app IVM-4500 I had no problems with playback - only he app changed, nothing else…
