Q. The application does not open. It does't work.
A. This app is a menu bar app. App icon does not appear in Dock. It is designed to serve you discreetly without occupying Dock space. The application icon appears in the right part of the main menu bar at the top of the screen.
Q. Isn't there any "Preferences" for this app?
A. Yes there are. The menu icon of this app is located in the right part of the main menu bar at the top of the screen. You can choose this app's Preferences here.
Q. It would not let me delete the app.
A. Finder does not let you delete an app that is currently running. Quit the app first. To quit the app, choose Quit from this application's menu in the main menu bar at the top of the screen. (Even though this app may be running, while in stand by, its CPU power usage is almost nothing.)
Q. How do I change sort order?
A. Press and hold Control key then click a tab. Contextual menu appears. (Depending on device configurations, right-click on mouse or two finger click on track pad may be used.)

Outstanding! Works with Mojave! Hooray!
Brilliant program! Splendid for organizing files and, hence, organizing one’s thoughts and writing projects. Away better than Unclutter. (Unclutter is a good program, by the way. Just that this is much superior. Popup Window does much more than Unclutter.) The creators of PW need to write up a more thorough user’s guide, however. It would save some headaches But, once you get the operations figured out, it’s wonderful!
Oct 21, 2018. When I updated my OS to Mojave, I discovered to my dismay that PW didn't work. I contacted the developers and they immediately began working on the problem. In the meantime, I looked for a suitable replacement. Trust me, there isn't one; PW is unique. Unique and invaluable if you are working with loads of folders and files and need easy access AND easy and quick viewing of what's in your files. PW is unmatched in doing all this.
Anyhow, the developers came out with a fix for Mojave, and it's working perfectly once again. Hooray! This sounds corny, but this has made my work vastly easier, once again.

Ding Dong, Baby!
Popup Window disappeared for a while, but I'm so glad its back! Does everything I need. I tried other apps out there in Popup Window's absense, but none of them had the KEY FEATURE I needed to make them a true substitute. That key feature is drag & drop. This is a Mac basic concept and I'm shocked other apps don't support it. Being able to have folders of items a quick tab away AND to be able to drag items from those tabs into my documents is priceless!!! You'll never go back to those other apps once you realize the power drag & drag adds to this utility.
Great for workflow speed
ve been a dedicated user of Popup Window for more than a year, and it has been a tremendous asset in streamlining my workflow, notably in organizing files into their appropriate folders and swiftly integrating them into key applications such as After Effects and Premiere. Moreover, I've proposed feature enhancements on several occasions, and have been happy to see some of them incorporated in updates within a matter of days. I eagerly anticipate what future improvements will be introduced.
