On Infinity, VOCES8 gaze up to the heavens with some breathtakingly beautiful music-making. Jon Hopkins’ 2020 piano-and-violin track “Scene Suspended” has been reworked for voices and harp to miraculous effect. Þorkell Sigurbjörnsson, Jóhann Jóhannsson, Ólafur Arnalds, and Hildur Guðnadóttir weave an Icelandic sensibility through the program while Luke Howard (a ravishing Emily Dickinson setting), Nainita Desai, and Ola Gjeilo add their own strong voices.
