Tech & Design: Everette Taylor

Everette Taylor has been called a "marketing genius" by Forbes and "an innovator who's changing the consumer marketing game" by Black Enterprise. Currently, Taylor serves as CMO of Artsy, the world’s largest online marketplace for discovering, buying, and selling art. For Black History Month 2020, Taylor created an exclusive Apple Music playlist meant to work as what he calls “a narration of my own personal story, the good and the bad.” Two selections Taylor finds exceptionally relevant are “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill” and JAY-Z’s “Picasso Baby.” “The first song represents the hardest part of finding success, being able to ignore the doubters, overcome your own self-doubt, and not allowing life circumstances to determine your fate,” Taylor says. “The second song was important because it was one of the sparks that inspired my eventual passion and work in the world of art.”
