Over-Tourism Reimagined: How Regenerative Travel Can Address Today’s Environmental Challenges

In this episode of Brains Byte Back, we visit a pressing issue: over-tourism and its impact on our planet. From the wildfires devastating Canada’s forests to the historic and deadly flooding in Valencia, the consequences of global warming are undeniable. And tourism, while a vital economic driver, often amplifies these challenges—putting immense pressure on fragile ecosystems, local resources, and cultural landmarks. To help us navigate these complexities, we’re joined by Aradhana Khowala, an expert in regenerative travel and sustainable tourism. The CEO and founder of Aptamind Partners brings unparalleled insights into how the tourism industry, often seen as a contributor to environmental strain, can instead be leveraged as a force for good. Together, we explore innovative approaches to address over-tourism.  So, whether you’re a globetrotter, an environmental advocate, or simply curious about how technology and creativity can shape the future of travel, this episode is for you. Prioritizing Time to Grieve Over Paperwork: How Ribbon is Streamlining the Inheritance Process

In this episode of Brains Byte Back, we explore a topic that touches all of us at some point in life: inheritance and the difficult process of managing a loved one’s finances after they pass away. Those who have experienced it would agree that time takes on a new meaning, whether it’s time spent with your loved one or time spent grieving.  Erick sits down with Saeid Kian, the CEO and co-founder of Ribbon, to discuss how his company is looking to give that time back to families by limiting the hours spent completing paperwork, visiting financial institutions, or making multiple calls.  Saeid’s journey to creating Ribbon is a personal one. The loss of his father introduced him to an outdated process he encountered while dealing with money matters following his passing. We'll hear how his frustration led to a solution that’s not only changing how families navigate the financial obligations of a loved one but also how his time is providing significant value to credit unions by creating a modernized process that’s prepared, efficient and empathic.  It’s a valuable conversation on how technology can make one of life’s hardest moments a little easier. The Vacation He Couldn’t Return Home From: A Venezuelan CEO’s Inspiring Journey to Growth Hacking Success

In this episode of Brains Byte Back, we’re proud to kick off Latin Heritage Month and recognize the achievements of those in the community. Today, we’re joined by Gerardo Sandoval, CEO and founder of Facil Cloud. Gerardo’s inspiring journey takes us from his early days in Venezuela, where he launched his first tech startup at just 16— a computer lab where recognized the value of empowering his community with computer skills. A small venture that gave him the skills leading up to his present-day success in creating a Miami-based private cloud solutions company. He shares a personal story about a family vacation he never returned home from, which obliged him to leave a successful web hosting company behind. This story reflects the struggles of many Venezuelans forced to leave their homes, not by choice. However, that didn’t deter him from being a driving force in both the Latino and tech communities. To date, Gerardo has founded several startups with clients in more than 20 countries and is recognized as one of the main Hispanic influencers in the world of Growth Hacking. He shares how he uses this combination of data science, digital marketing and other elements to create bridges between what companies want and what customers desire.  Find out more about Gerardo Sandoval here (Linkedin) -  https://www.linkedin.com/in/gerardosandovalcabrera/ Find out more about Facil Cloud (website) -  https://www.facilcloud.com/ Brains Byte Back: Reach out to today's host, Erick Espinosa (Linkedin) -  linkedin.com/in/erick-espinosa Get the latest on tech news - https://sociable.co/  Leave an iTunes review  - https://rb.gy/ampk26 Follow us on your favourite podcast platform - https://link.chtbl.com/rN3x4ecY Find out more about our sponsor Publicize - https://publicize.co/startup-resources/

Wearable Tech That Measures Product Effects: The AI Neurotech Company Revolutionizing Product Testing

In this episode of Brains Byte Back, we explore the future of neurotechnology with a special guest, Israel Gasperin, founder and CEO of Zentrela. Israel's company is leading the charge in using artificial intelligence (AI) to analyze brainwaves, developing groundbreaking tools that measure cognitive impairment in ways traditional drug tests can’t. In 2018, the historic legalization of cannabis in Canada is where Zentrela really took off. With government funding and support in his research, he was able to create cutting-edge tools for effectively measuring cannabis impairment. Today, Zentrela's AI-based EEG technology is being used globally to help a variety of industries, including cannabis, energy drinks, and wellness, conduct faster, more cost-effective product testing – giving consumers direct insight into the psychoactive and non-psychoactive effects of the products they are buying. They are essentially providing companies and consumers with a new kind of label—not the traditional listing of ingredients but rather the effects of the product. The future of brainwave analysis is shaping the way companies research, develop, and inform their customers like never before—Israel shares how.  Find out more about Israel Gasperin here (Linkedin) -  https://www.linkedin.com/in/israelgasperin/ Find out more about Zentrela (website) -  https://zentrela.com/ Brains Byte Back: Reach out to today's host, Erick Espinosa (Linkedin) -  linkedin.com/in/erick-espinosa Get the latest on tech news - https://sociable.co/  Leave an iTunes review  - https://rb.gy/ampk26 Follow us on your favourite podcast platform - https://link.chtbl.com/rN3x4ecY Find out more about our sponsor Publicize - https://publicize.co/startup-resources/
