On earlier installments of Shovels & Rope's Busted Jukebox series, the popular roots-rock duo reimagined some of their favorite songs with their most talented musical friends, like Guns N' Roses' "Patience" (featuring The Milk Carton Kids) and Willie Nelson's "Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain" (featuring John Moreland). On this third iteration, Cary Ann Hearst and Michael Trent take a softer approach, compiling songs that would appeal to children and inviting fellow parent-musicians to take part in the recording. Tracks include The Beach Boys' "In My Room" (featuring Sharon Van Etten), R.E.M.'s "Everybody Hurts" (featuring T. Hardy Morris), and Louis Armstrong's "What a Wonderful World" (featuring John Paul White), for a collection sure to appeal to kids and adults alike. Other guests on the compilation include Deer Tick, The War and Treaty, M. Ward, and The Secret Sisters.
