Season 1 Wrap Up- Leaning Into Wholehearted Living During Global Pandemic

#017- Father Dave shares the real-life example of how he and his staff virtually ministered to his parishioners using Deep Practice.
In today’s episode, Father Dave shares how he has been virtually ministering to his parishioners in new ways during the pandemic. This opportunity to find a new way to meaningfully connect to one another became a surprisingly fruitful way to learn a new spiritual practice as the group virtually learned the Relinquishment Practice together. This experience serves as a reminder that God continually calls us to go to Him and experience his mercy and tenderness in all circumstances.

    Building Sustainable Habits

    Building Sustainable Habits

#016- In this time of instability, more than ever we need to cultivate spiritual habits to be our life preservers in the tumultuous sea that is the year 2020.
Becky, Father Dave, and Bob Beer to discuss how this year’s global pandemic has disrupted many of our usual daily habits, making it necessary for us to rely on spiritual habits to keep us grounded. The Church needs to help people to learn essential spiritual habits that have been tried and true, with practical steps. Deep Practice helps the processes and systems in which we learn to be improved so that people can experience the real and lasting effects of the spiritual practices offered to us by the Church and in the Scriptures.

Stop Thrashing Around in the Swamp of Shallow Practice

Stop Thrashing Around in the Swamp of Shallow Practice

#014- Pastors and ministry leaders struggle to lead their parishioners deeper
Becky and Garnett continue discussing the need for deep and meaningful practices to be brought into the church. In their experiences as pastors, they found that people were unwilling to invest more time into church because they weren’t receiving much in return. With the help of the Deep Practice tools, people who come to church seeking help for their real life problems can be provided with the tools and steps to connect with God in a real way that actually applies to the problems and struggles they face in their own lives.

Living with Unforgiveness is Like Dying a Slow Death By Paper Cuts

#013- Go-N-Do Team Member Garnett Slatton experienced profound healing and freedom through the practice of Forgiveness.
Garnett’s transformative experience with the practice of forgiveness illustrates that even ministry professionals can learn and grow through Deep Practice.
In today’s episode, Becky is joined by Garnett Slatton, a Go-N-Do Discipleship team member, who first experienced the work of Go-N-Do and Deep Practice when he was pastoring a large church in Cleveland, Ohio. He shares how the practices, particularly the Forgiveness Practice, profoundly affected his parishioners, as well as him personally. Garnett found the practices to be a source of healing and connection with God that is desperately needed by those working in ministry who often are very wounded by the nature of their work.

Thoughtful and engaging - leaves me wanting more!

Let’s start with the obvious, I love the sound of Becky‘s voice. It is so soothing and easy and natural in this podcast. I’m so interested in this deep practice concept and how I can apply it as a spiritual practice!
