Publisher Description
One gossiping parrot, a few sips of whiskey, and a sprig of mistletoe will often seal one's fate.
Ethan Copeland was only in England at his father's request. It was important that he meet his uncle, and experience other options open to him as the nephew of a duke. However, after five months, Ethan is ready to return home. He, and his companions, two parrots named Rogue and Lady, longed for the warmth and sunshine of the New Orleans plantation. What he hadn't expected was to encounter a Scottish lass who had a taste for whiskey and an adventurous heart.
Fanella Grant had little adventure in her life and visiting the ancient castle might be the best thing to happen in a very long time. However, when her first night of exploring finds her locked in a wine cellar with a very handsome American, Fanella realizes this adventure may be more than she could have imagined.
Unfortunately, all could be ruined by a parrot not only repeats what he hears, but also what he sees.

The Perfect Wingman!!!
Oh my gosh what a delightful story! If you’re looking for a lighthearted, fun story to break up this horrible monotony of being quarantined then Jane Charles has you covered. You’ll enjoy this sweet story!
Ethan Copeland has arrived in England with family members to attend the wedding of his cousin and spend time with his uncle the Duke. Fanella Grant, from Scotland is also there to attend the wedding. In her eagerness to explore the castle she finds herself locked in a cell in the dungeon with Ethan and the fun begins.
The characters are charming and while finding themselves locked in the dungeon cell they discover just how attracted they are to one another. It was so much fun seeing them get to know one another. Of course the supporting cast of characters, Ethans parrots, Rogue and Lady and the “chaperones” are just as charming and delightfully entertaining.
The dialogue was wonderful, witty and engaging. The addition of the parrots was a brilliant idea and added so much fun to the story, Rogue especially!
This is a wonderfully sweet love story of two people from different “sides of the pond” falling in love and finding that middle ground. Rogue was the perfect wingman!
Thank you Jane for such a beautiful and sweet love story that made me giggle and laugh! And absolutely wonderful reading experience!
