“If you are someone who gravitates toward emotional gut punch reads, allow me to introduce you to this spectacular debut…”—BuzzFeed

Here are three things you should know about my husband: He was the great love of my life despite his penchant for going incommunicado.
He was, as far as I and everyone else could tell, perfectly happy. Which is significant because…
On New Year’s Eve, he died.
And here is one thing you should know about me: I found him.
Bonus fact: No. I am not okay.

Someday, Maybe is a stunning, witty debut novel about a young woman’s emotional journey through unimaginable loss, pulled along by her tight-knit Nigerian family, a posse of friends, and the love and laughter she shared with her husband.

“Incisive and witty. I couldn’t put it down.”—Lolá Ákínmádé Åkerström, internationally bestselling author of In Every Mirror She's Black

“A masterfully woven exposition on love and loss. Nwabineli is magic with words.”—Bolu Babalola, internationally bestselling author of Honey and Spice

Don't miss Onyi Nwabineli's next stunning page-turner, ALLOW ME TO INTRODUCE MYSELF, where a former kidfluencer must overcome her toxic family, reclaim her identity and, ultimately, find the freedom to be herself...

Loved this Book

I was a little unsure at first about what direction/point of view this story would take. But after a few pages I felt as though I was with Eve and she was telling me her story straight from her heart. I was completely captured and couldn’t stop reading. I loved how the story flowed and how it ended. Having Eve find a note from Quentin and “feeling better” would have been obvious…. but…..I don’t want to give it all away. I totally loved the way the story ended. And to the very last word I felt like I was sitting with Eve as she told me her story. And I felt a connection with Eve. Twenty years ago my beloved little sister was the victim of a murder/suicide perpetrated by her husband. I continue to miss her every day but I have learned to cope.

I would highly recommend this book to others. I can’t wait to read more books by this author.

The Best

I’ve read many books in my 30+ years of living and this bio is honestly in the top 2. Eve was presented with a fate that I would never want to encounter and she managed to see the next day each day.

As someone who is Nigerian, I saw myself in Glo and Eve. I saw my siblings in the same set up. I saw my family. My culture. Everything. I truly loved this book and I’m so happy I got to read it. Thank you Onyi. Thank you. ❤️
