The Cost Implications of Deploying Multiple Privacy Curtain Panels Per Track

Is the "inexpensive" curtain you signed up for actually costing you more money?
"When looking at “no-ladder” solutions that deploy a
standardized curtain size (whether fabric or disposable) one
should not just consider the per panel cost, but more
importantly HOW MANY curtain panels are required based
    on your track lengths."

The Consequences of Ceiling-Mounted Cubicle Tracks

The Consequences of Ceiling-Mounted Cubicle Tracks

Are ceiling-mounted cubicle tracks hindering room cleaning and patient turnovers?
"It’s not surprising that curtains fly under the radar, creating significant patient and staff infection risk as they
frequently remain in place too long. But how on earth can we expect EVS departments to figure out how to exchange these curtains, touched by everyone, in a timely fashion when they’ve been dealt such a bad hand due to terrible design!"

Antimicrobial Curtains: A False Sense of Security

Antimicrobial Curtains: A False Sense of Security

Are anti-microbial curtains making us feel safer than we are? "Current studies show that even pre-treated textiles can
become contaminated with pathogenic microorganisms. It
is unfortunate that this “fecal patina” is not visible to the
naked eye because this limitation allows for curtains to be
bypassed for months by EVS management."

New to Surgical Tech World

I’m seasoned as a person but new to the Surgical Tech world. I went to school to be a CST. I’ve been a tech for a year now. Im learning how to speak “surgery”. And this podcast has been SO HELPFUL! I’ve had an “ah-ha” moment with this “Advocacy” episode really put things into perspective for me. I wish Miss Chris was my teacher while I was in ST school. Thank you for all your episodes!

Addition to this wonderful podcast

I was introduced to this podcast and I’m enjoying it. I am a surgical technologist by trade for about 20 years and I’m glad someone is giving insights into our daily lives. I want to be part of this podcast to share my own perspective.

Time out

Great interview! If I ever have surgery I want Nurse Brenna in my OR! She sounds like she is on top of things! I hope that all OR personnel are as committed to this process as she is.
