From 2000-2005 he was based in Johannesburg as Africa editor for Sky and in 2005 he joined Channel 4 News as a foreign producer. He became foreign editor in 2008 and was appointed editor in August 2012.
Ben has won numerous Royal Television Society awards, FPA awards, BAFTAs and Emmy awards. He was also part of the 'For Sama' team that was nominated for an Academy Award.
