Men who love film

This is an excellent and well-presented show by film lovers, for film lovers! J.B. Sits down with a different guest every episode as they discuss movies that inspire them especially as fathers and husbands, brothers and sons. Some great picks in here from The Last of the Mohicans to Saving Private Ryan. The discussions are insightful and inspiring and will make you want to go back to those movies for the first time all over again. I especially appreciate their takes on the emotional core of the characters and why what they do matters, and what lessons we can apply in our own lives. Great work!

The thing I love most about this podcast is the fact that it draws on worthwhile themes from genres often overlooked as overly jingoistic or stereotyped “toxic masculinity.” While they cover more than just action, Manly Movies has the courage to confront the meaningful messaging behind portrayals regardless of genre and apply it to Godly wisdom for men in a day and age where that’s becoming harder to do. Not to mention the host has really great taste! Highly recommend if you’re a guy who loves movies and wants some great recommendations on the manly side of things.

The name of the show may make you think one thing, but it’s likely not what this show is! This show is very positive and uplifting, and the perspective it takes to look at movies is very unique! It’s a high quality show!
