Ad free?

Love the app. Use it all the time. My only complaints are that there is no real advantage to purchasing the tickets through the app, and the ads. If there were an ad-free version that cost a couple of dollars, I would buy it. After all, a movie app is already advertising in s sense. The big splash ads aren't too bad, but the banner at the top of the listings, and even a couple sneaked in WITH the listings is a bit much.

Otherwise, a great, useful, and relatively easy-to-use app.

Terrible App

Thank goodness UA Cinemas have released their own app and I can delete this crash monster once and for all. Seriously, this was once a great app which I used on both iPhone and iPad for several years but from about 3 or 4 versions back it has become the most unstable, bug ridden bit of software I have ever had the displeasure of using. I have detailed these problems in previous reviews but it obviously makes no difference to the developers at all as nothing has improved in subsequent versions. If it doesn't crash on the opening screen, trust me, you are lucky. To be able to navigate the app for more than 30 seconds without it crashing is impossible. Good riddance is all I can say. To those thinking of downloading this app, my advice is simple. Don't waste your bandwidth. IT SIMPLY DOES NOT WORK. UA Cinemas have their own app which is much better.

Cannot see movie information until you watch an unclosable video advert. App deleted.

Used to be a great app. Then they added a big entry advertisement, but that was okay as it was static and had a close button. Now they make you watch an entire video advert before you are allowed to see anything about what movies are playing and where. No, just no. This app no longer provides useful information. I have deleted it from my phone. So sad that the HK Cinema industry does not support them and apparently is not interested in making this kind of an app available. Oh well, fewer movies for me, probably. :(
