Publisher Description

A pitch-perfect holiday rom com about two oil-and-water reality-star country singers who must fake a relationship in order to win the opportunity of a lifetime, perfect for fans of Sally Thorne's The Hating Game and Christina Lauren's In a Holidaze.

Will they hit the right notes this holiday season?

When Sadie and Max are selected as contestants on the famed reality singing show Starmaker, each thinks they’ve finally gotten their big Nashville break. But then they’re paired up for duet week and stun the world with their romantic onstage chemistry. With fans going wild for #Saxie the network demands that they remain a duo on and offstage, or exit the competition. Faking a relationship until their final performance in the Starmaker holiday special shouldn't be too hard, except for one small problem—Sadie and Max can’t stand each other.

But with their dreams just within reach, they agree to the ruse. Will their fake relationship be exposed before they can win? Or might their phony connection turn real by the Christmas finale?

Cute Holiday Rom-Com

I enjoyed this book and read it in one sitting. I was so mad at Max for not talking about how he is feeling but Sadie did the same thing too but I love when they did talk about they feel to other people. They will talk about it. It was a cute book and I enjoyed it. @Putnambooks

Fake dating trope at its best

Please note my review does have some spoilers.

Fake dating trope, a country singer competition tv show and a whole lot of miscommunication is what is involved in the romance book that does have some humor in it too.
Two country singers want to be famous and to do so, end having to fake date while competing together on a tv show.
I really fell for Max early on. Although I wish he hadn’t been so afraid to be public about his love of knitting. I think it is a fabulous stress reliever and actually not an easy thing to master. Good for him! Plus, he’s a dog owner and loves animals. Love him.

I was a bit upset with Sadie for not letting Max know about her Gran passing away it just led them down another rabbit whole of not letting each other in on things. She called him out on that earlier in the book, so why Sadie, why?
Of course it was great that the snake that is Cruz gets put in his place by the end. I also enjoyed that both characters straightened out their issues with their own family members before coming together. That was wrapped up nicely.

A Fun and Entertaining Read!

Max and Sadie both enter the reality country show called Starmakers. When they are paired up in the competition, they impress not only the judges, but social media goes crazy! They have instant fans. The judges decide they have to continue as a duet, but request they act like they are also a couple. Can they pull it off or will they fall to their competitors? Will this forced interaction actually turn into a real relationship or will it go down with the competition?

A fun and entertaining ROM-COM that will have you cheering on Sadie and Max! If you enjoy watching The Voice, then you will be a fan of this book as well.
