Welcome to Sunderland Experience, the home of seasonal interactive trails in the City Centre.
Using exciting augmented reality technology alongside a GPS enabled map which tracks your location in real time, Sunderland Experience enables you to discover the City like never before.
Capture and share moments with family and friends as you interact with our fun virtual characters along the trail.

Christmas Stocking Trail - Available 16th November -7th January
We need your help! Santa and Mrs Claus brought some of their festive friends to Sunderland to see the giant Christmas stockings and get in the festive spirit, but now they’re lost in the City Centre.
Join the search for Santa and discover 8 magical Augmented Reality virtual
characters and 4 giant Christmas stockings along the way, using the GPS-enabled map to find and collect each one. We wish you a very merry Mackem Christmas.

Disappointed
I down loaded this app to follow the spooky trail on 31st October
Only to find the the Halloween spooky monsters had been removed
It makes no sense to take them down before Halloween evening!!
Really hard to use couldn’t find them
Terrible app really slow monsters weren’t there
