Publisher Description

One woman wants to win a bet. One man wants to become a rodeo champion. One little girl may give them both something even better—from USA Today bestselling author Nancy Naigle.

“A commitment-phobic rodeo star and a divorcée with secrets find love in this wholesome romance. . . . As uplifting as it is sweet.”—Publishers Weekly

Working at a little shop on Main Street in a small town is exactly the break that executive Merry Anna Foster needs following her divorce. She’s made a bet with her ex-husband that she can live on the amount of money she’s giving him in alimony. If she can do it, then Kevin will have to stop complaining and leave her alone. But after three months of this new life, will she even want to leave Antler Creek?

Adam Locklear, bull rider and owner of the local feedstore, is having the best year of his rodeo career. He’s also a bit distracted by the pretty new neighbor living in his old bunkhouse. But Adam has no time for matters of the heart. He’s got his future all mapped out, and that future doesn’t involve a woman just yet. It doesn’t involve parenting a little girl either. However, Carly Fowler still suddenly leaves five-year-old Zan—the daughter Adam didn’t know he had—in his care.

Is it possible that the future holds a life even better than what Merry Anna and Adam had each dreamed of? One that includes both tenderness and even love—not just for each other but for Zan too.

Say yes to new opportunities

Sometimes those who wander are not lost.

A lovely story of second chances, stepping out of your comfort zone and entering the world as a different person. I wonder how many of us would get into the car and just drive with no particular purpose in mind, other than to get away and leave the past behind? Merry Anna did just that and found a spot to rest, rejuvenate and find herself where there were no expectations! The little town of Antler Creek sounds like a dream in our busy lives.

The author has moved us into the small town, introducing us to all the wonderful characters that make up the story. Adam is a rodeo cowboy - a bull rider! The thrill and danger is set out in great detail for the reader to enjoy. Will he even live to survive such a dangerous career? Krissy is the proprietor of the eclectic gift store that specializes in barn quilts - a concept that brings much beauty to our world. The coffee shop owner, the cafe chef and others round out the wonderful individuals that call Antler Creek home.

This ARC was received through WaterBrook, Random House and NetGalley. My thoughts and impressions were in no way solicited.

Wonderful story about new beginnings and a picturesque town

Merry Anna Foster is in much need of a fresh start. Following her recent divorce, she has a bet with her ex-husband that she can live on the same amount of money that she is paying him in alimony. One day she stopped in Antler Creek for gas, saw a help wanted sign in the window of a small Fine Linen shop on Main Street. She is immediately hired, and still lives there. She quickly falls in love with the town and she is the happiest she has ever been in her life. She rents an old bunkhouse and her neighbor, Adam Locklear is a bull rider. He also owns the local Feed and Seed store in town. I really enjoyed Merry Anna’s friendship with the townspeople. They were quickly available to each other whenever there was a need. I loved the daughter Zan, as she was so happy and she melted my heart. I felt drawn to her cheerful demeanor and was sympathetic to her situation. You can’t help but fall in love with the picturesque, quaint, mountain town of Antler Creek. It is warm and inviting and the people make the tight knit community very pleasing. It was a bustling town with lots of community events always happening. This book is one that makes you want to try new adventures in new places. I enjoyed this story very much and found it to be very captivating. I found this uplifting and inspiring story to be a must read. I definitely recommend this one.

Thank you Nancy Naigle for such a wonderful story about new beginnings and surrounding yourself with encouraging and uplifting people. I absolutely loved it and I highly recommend this book.

What Remains True

What Remains True by Nancy Naigle
Merry Anna finds peace and happiness in the small town of Antler Creek. She loves her job and the bunkhouse she’s renting. If only her ex husband would leave her and her family alone, she could move on with her life. Meeting the cowboy next door adds a bit of companionship.

A charming courtship.
One too many misunderstandings and backing away by both bit they get it right by the end.
Sweet and delightful.
