Please tell me there is a season 3⁉️⁉️ I was born in 1970 but I know if I was 20+ in the 70’s I would definitely be a “dead head” I am addicted to true crime so I’ve listened to season 1&2 now I’m definitely HOOKED. Please put out season 3 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Worked my way through both seasons. Season 1 did not need 10 episodes to tell one story. The structure of season 2 is better with several cases that might be loosely connected to the Dead…but are really about drug addicts that got caught up in things like the Emerald Triangle. If you watched Murder Mountain, you have a better understanding and lack of surprise around a case of a kid who is a Dead fan and wants to do work on a pot farm as a trimmer in the triangle. The actual cases lack substance. In fact, the first season lacks objectivity and pushes a theory based on word of mouth and speculation. The episodes will also randomly take a tangent to push social justice narratives. It’s ok to bring it up once as a possibility…but to constantly push it or randomly bring up a social justice issue when it doesn’t pertain to case, it just feels icky and irrelevant. If I got anything from this podcast, it was some Dead stories and history that I’d not heard before. BTW…there is no such city or town called Deer Creek Indiana.

I’d listen to Payne read a phone book. The guy who gives us background on the Dead is cringy and totally ruined this podcast for me.
