Second Chance Love
This book was full of sweetness and action! It was a great, quick read.
The characters are in it for a rescue, a second chance, and an adorable pig companion!
This book has some deep, internal feelings balanced with the light-heartedness of a sassy, smart pig friend.
I definitely recommend this book for a return to Bad Dog (past characters make an appearance!)
Wild Ride
This second chance novella was a wild ride! The drama was intense, and made all the more poignant when you realize how it compares to all that the author has been through lately. Macy and Theo (and Pippa Jane) were extremely likable characters. The romance between them moved quickly, but didn’t feel rushed. I just loved their dynamic. And the unconventional ending had me grinning like a loon.

I really enjoyed Macy and Theo’s second chance, first love, forced proximity, coming home novella with a side of natural disaster. Macy and Theo were HS sweethearts but separated after graduation 15 years ago when Macy could not stay in their small town and Theo could not leave. Macy, feeling unmoored in her social media influencer nomadic life, has returned to Bad Dog with her pet mini pig hoping for reconciliation or closure or something. Shortly after arriving in town, there’s a terrible rain storm and flooding. Trying to restart your HEA in the middle of a natural disaster and courting potential death may seem like an odd choice but life works like that sometimes - chaotic and messy, painful and wonderful all at the same time. Despite being short, the story was well written and included witty dialogue, three dimensional characters, and an engaging storyline as shown through sweet moments, steamy scenes, laugh out loud moments, messy families, painful pasts, big feels, and love.
