The Imprint Weekly Podcast is on vacation, so we're bringing you a bonus podcast today from the great new series "Diaries of A Black Girl in Foster Care."

The show’s co-hosts include Tashia Roberson Wing, who is pursuing her master’s degree in social work and public administration at Ohio State University; Kaysie Getty, a senior program analyst at the Center for the Study of Social Policy; Amnoni Myers, author of “You Are the Prize!;” consultant Alexandria Ware; and Ángela Quijada-Banks, author of “The Black Foster Youth Handbook” and CEO of Soulful Liberation.

The ladies were kind enough to let us feature their work while The Imprint Weekly Podcast took a week off here. In the episode you’re about hear, which is the second episode of the podcast, they are joined by social workers Cortney Jones and Christa Martinez for a conversation about a whole range of topics including the experience of being a black girl in the foster care system, gaining expertise on child welfare issues, being labeled “resilient,” and how they practice self-care.
