Cloak of Red is the third standalone romance in the Arrow Tactical Series and is part of the Wolf trilogy, a modern-day take on Little Red Riding Hood where her past intertwines with her present in a dangerous game of make-believe with the one man she can't resist.
The first two in the trilogy do not need to be read in order to enjoy Cloak of Red.
The stories are designed so that they can be read without reading prior books and as standalones (no cliffhangers!), but to avoid spoilers, it's recommended the trilogy be read in order.

Undercover Love
I loved this book! Sophia and Fisher are assigned to the an undercover CIA team as a married couple. Fisher had been Sophia's bodyguard when she was a teen. Their mission is to get close to another married couple, Raphael and Gemma. Raphael and Gemma are Columbian. He is suspected of being part of a drug cartel. The CIA needs Sophia and Fisher to obtain Gemma's phone number so they can monitor it.
They meet the couple at a ski lodge in Canada. Sophia quickly bonds with Gemma over expensive fashion purchases. During the time they are not with the couple, Sophia and Fisher experience a growing attraction to each other. They also have to act the part of a newly married couple while they are with Gemma and Raphael, so there are ample opportunities to ramp up the heat. Before long, they succumb to their feelings for each other. Before long danger intrudes.
The characters in this book are fully developed, interesting, and likeable. The plot is well-paced and has lots of suspense. There is lots of hot romance, too. All in all, it's just a great book.
I think anyone who likes suspense-filled romance would enjoy this book. Get it today!.

Great story
This is a great story. This whole series keeps you on your toes and you’re dying for the next book, but you can also read each one as a stand alone without missing anything. I love the Easter eggs and cameos of characters from other books. The author takes time to go through issues instead of having everything presented and solved immediately. There are some steamy scenes, but nothing too much.

Great addition to the series
This book may be the third in the Arrow Tactical series, but it can be read as a stand-alone, if readers have missed the first two. In fact, it took me an embarrassingly long amount of time to figure out I met Sophia as a teen in her dad’s story!
Sophia and Damien are tagged to play a married couple during an undercover assignment, which is a bit uncomfortable considering he was part of her security force when she was in school. Not to mention, he’s hotter than sin, friends with her dad and almost a decade and a half older. All which makes for a very sexy read!
But there’s some serious things going on as well, dating back to a teen trauma that Sophia suffered. It’s why she’s so driven. And Damien funds that irresistible. I loved this couple, the twisty storyline and the snappy and sexy dialogue. Isabel Jolie knocked this book out of the park!
