Publisher Description
A family contract. A dark bargain. No escape.
Eleven years ago, I met him. A year later, I was betrothed to him. Now he’s come to claim me, slaughtering anyone standing in his way.
My husband-to-be is a monster from a family as ruthless and powerful as mine, a man who deals in violence and destruction... a man terrifyingly like my father. For over a decade, he’s stalked me, shadowing my life.
I fear him. I hate him. Worst of all, I want him.
My name is Alina Molotova, and Alexei Leonov is a fate I can’t escape.

Hooked from the first chapter
One thing I liked about Anna’s Zairin’s novel Terrible Beauty is that I was able to easily relate to her main character Alina Molotova. She is what drew me into the story and kept me captivated. I could see how she was so intrigued by Alexi Leonov. I’ve become a fan of the Dark Romance genre over past year. This was the first time that I read a story about a character, whose family is a part of the Russian mob. Another thing I liked about the story is that despite everything that she went through, Alina remained human. The author made sure to depict every single emotion that the character felt in a way that moved me. I am truly looking forward to reading the next book in this series. The writing is easy to follow, and all of the characters are well flushed out. For the first time in the very long time there only nothing that I disliked about the book. I knew going into that. This is a dark romance novel. Despite the fact that there are moments where is evident that Alina is attracted to Lexi and desires, he still a monster. There are spicy scenes where doesn’t ask for her consent, and instead indulges. That gray area is probably the only part that I didn’t like but not enough to stop reading the story. I gave this novel five out of five because I truly enjoyed reading it and I’m looking forward to reading the next book in the series .
