In scarcely a year’s time, ROA went from relative unknown to one-to-watch. His first proper project, Private Suite (Vol. 1), collects the strong series of singles that got this Puerto Rican rising star to this point. At its center lies the “JETSKI” remix, a smooth R&B-tinged cut with Bryant Myers, Omar Courtz, and Dei V as distinguished guests. The harder-edged yet likeminded “UuU” brings trapero Hades66 and his icy monotone into the mix, while his “Bellakéame” pivots instead towards rugged reggaetón. Beyond its sole interlude and sneak-preview outro, the project also boasts two newer tracks, the opening rumble of “Freelance” and the ethereal trap soul of “Noche Pasajera.”
