Conversation with Dr Rob Henderson
As I listened to both of you speak, I was pleased to hear the dialogue concerning academic culture. I am no fan of so many professors. I have 13 years invested in university. I was expected to become teacher. A number friends are tenured professors, including one who went to Yale and now teaches at Boston University. Knowing what he was and has now become via the culture of tenured teachers, I am appalled, shocked even, at the arrogance of what I refer to as a type secular deification. However listening to you both interact was a hopeful experience. I wish I had either of you as a professor or friend during those years. You are both welcome in my home here in Toronto. I make great cocktails and have many books.

I once had the privilege of meeting Professor Saad. Though if i had known of him at the time, i certainly would have tried to speak with him. As it was, i worked at McGill as a security Patroller and only happened to cross paths with him as he exited an elevator. But his kind and friendly demeanor left me shocked that such positive people still exist in this world and what must i do to exude such an influence on the world around me? I guess he would say survive war in Lebanon or some such thing! Cheers for freedom of thought!
