Not my cup of tea
I was looking forward to this story about a woman trying to uplift herself after catching her husband cheating on her and I felt all I got was a lot of second hand embarrassment, the character settling for support that was lacking and a horrible life partner. But her mother was great. Probably the best character out of this book besides the main love interest Dez. I just felt the story was overshadowed by people who weren’t very understanding and sometimes the main character had no back bone and let people just walk all over her. It was frankly upsetting because I heard this was about a woman finding herself and being all about feminism but she really made all of her choices that showed strength while she was drunk. I believed she was entitled to act however she wanted because her whole world imploded by the one person who is supposed to treat you the best. 2/5
