    डा. लक्ष्मी ढकालको जन्म भुटानको दागापेलामा भएको थियो । ९० को दशकको प्रारम्भमा डा. ढकाल र उनको परिवार भुटानबाट विस्थापित भएर नेपालको शरणार्थी शिविरमा बसे। नेपालमा रहँदा डा ढकालले भारतमा अध्ययन जारी राखे र बनारस हिन्दू विश्वविद्यालयबाट दर्शनशास्त्रमा पीएचडी गरे। उनले भारतको दिल्लीमा संस्कृत गुरुको रूपमा अध्यापन गरे। डा ढकाल हाल लुइभील , केन्टकीमा बस्छन्। उनी अमेरिकामा नेपाली भाषा र साहित्यको संरक्षण र संवर्धन गर्ने अभियानका सशक्त अभियन्ता र योग ध्यानका शिक्षक पनि हुन् । डा. ढकालले २ वटा महत्वपूर्ण कृति प्रकाशित गरिसकेका छन् । १. वासदेखि पुनर्वाससम्म ( ऐतिहासिक आत्मसंस्मराणात्मक निबन्ध) जो २०२१ मा अनेसासको डायस्पोरा सर्वोत्कृष्ट वांगमय पुरस्कार जीत्न सफल भएको छ । यही वर्ष २०२२ मा अर्को कृति “ डायस्पोरामा भाषाशिक्षण “ एक सैद्धान्तिक विवेचन “ प्रकाशित भएको छ । यी दुवै कृतिहरू एमाजोनमा उपलब्ध छन् ।डा. ढकाल ज्योतिष एवम् अध्यात्मिक अनुसन्धान केन्द्र'का निर्देशक हुन् !

    ज्योतिषी पद्मलाल ढकालको जन्म भुटानको दगापेलामा भएको थियो । उनले २१ वर्षको उमेरमा ज्योतिषी प्रजापति नेपालबाट अनौपचारिक शिक्षा प्रारम्भ गरेका थिए । जोतिषी ढकाल डीग्रीधारी विद्वान होइनन्, तर उनीसँग नेपाली र भुटानी समुदायमा उत्कृष्ट जोतिषी बन्नको लागि यस क्षेत्रमा अपार ज्ञान र अनुभव छ । जोतिषी ढकालले भारतको सिलगढीमा विभिन्न जोतिषी र गुरुहरूबाट अनौपचारिक/व्यावहारिक शिक्षा पनि प्राप्त गरेका थिए। उनी ‘मारुति नन्दन पञ्चाङ्ग’का लेखक हुन् ।

    In this Episode of Untold Stories Podcast, we will be listening to Sujan Upreti's story.

    Sujan Upreti is a recent high school graduate from McCaskey High School who is ready to attend Temple University from Fall 2022 majoring in Journalism. Sujan was born in the refugee camp in Nepal and migrated to US with his family when he was 5 Years old. Regardless refugee background in the new country with full of culture shocks, Sujan always pushed himself up to be involved in many projects and activities in school. 

    Sujan’s involvement and his presence was very dominate in high school. He became a daily broad caster for his school’s morning show. In fact, he was one of the most popular students, who was voted to be the Home Coming King among 10 contestants. Sujan was not only popular but an exemplary and student for his High School, who received many scholarships and proudly gave an speech in the graduation ceremony inspiring his peers, teachers and audience present. Finally, Sujan has starterd his own talk show, ‘Sipping Coffee with Sujan Upreti’ on LCTV 66, Lancaster from August 5th.
