COJ #117 has got to be the best, funniest, most gleeful episode yet. These “so-called” journalists 😉 have no effs left to give and I am here for it!. Embracing the pettiness is a power move, Mandy and Liz. As a former newspaper reporter and now a lawyer, I find the commentary among the three hosts insightful. Keep up the good work.
More Eric, please.

I’m on #121 and for the last several episodes Eric has been talked over or silenced while Mandy and Liz chatter on.
Yikes!

Day one listener…wow has it gone downhill! A year ago I would have given 5 stars. Now it’s two angry women ranting and Eric immediately backs down. Isn’t he a lawyer? Do actual - and factual - research on school choice, the Lively case, etc. Sorry but not all men are evil…and no, I’m not a man. Liz and Mandy are such “fighters” for women - let’s hear your thoughts and opinions about trans playing in women’s sports.
Kept trying

I think too much of the focus has become bitter and defensive and somewhat juvenile. Re Lively v Baldoni, there are at least 2 sides to every story, but to pick a side because of your love of TS is a middle school vibe. I know you’re smarter than that makes you sound. You’ve done such great work - I hope you get back to it.
Wow, what a disappointing turn

It’s been a very busy year and I’m running behind listening but wow was I incredibly disappointed listening to this podcast today. This use to be a really good podcast, with thorough research backing up the opinions shared… But now there is a rush to judgment to back up of all people, Blake Lively??? Yikes… Extremely painful listening to that conversation. Look, Blake cherry picked messages from a questionably obtained cell phone to send to NYT (which at least one of you seemed to somewhat realize), purposely removing context, and grossly misconstrued what happened on set (bc she seemingly did not realize it was caught on film & there was audio). Frankly, she’s been caught being dishonest and then there is the whole Ryan of it all. Deadpool’s nice pool? 🤮 SNL appearance joke? 🤮 All the interviews during it ends with us & the older ones where there is a blatant narcissist telling on themselves? 🤮 Especially that Forbes interview 🤮🤮🤮🤮Also, the NYT really botched this one and between the writer Megan’s big mouth & the metadata, I sincerely hope karma comes for the NYT. If nothing else how the NYT conducted themselves should be of the upmost concern here as the metadata amongst the asking for Baldoni team comments & posting the story hours before the deadline provided to Baldoni team anyway, all calls their journalistic integrity from my point of view…. And frankly, legacy or traditional media is really suffering from a lack of journalism ethics so having a heavy dose of karma served to them would be ideal. Several details missed/ referenced incorrectly… Also, it was not Baldoni showing a video of his wife’s birth, it was his business partner Jamey Heath and it wasn’t to persuade her about the birthing scene being nude but rather brought to her to form a basis of discussion regarding the emotion of the birthing scene… The problem with the position of just believing Blake is not all women tell the truth; Just look at Amber Heard. Its important to listen but wait for verification of the details which isn’t just important to get to truth of the matter but because it’s so important to serve women & men who have been abused and/or sexually harassed. While some may be quick to believe all women, that’s the WRONG approach - All of us have fathers, brothers, uncles, cousins, husbands, best friends, etc. and what if one of them was accused - would You just jump to believing the woman or would you be thorough in listening & waiting for the truth to come out. And while we are at it, its not okay for any woman to make such serious allegations and then take issue with the accused person defending themselves, as though they are just suppose to take the allegations, let it tear apart their life even if they have not just knowledge but concrete evidence that shows what was being alleged is not the truth. Wow… again, unbelievably disappointed. Hollywood is full of not great people and I will never understand why anyone looks up to any of them - Having thoroughly read all of the legal documents of both parties, I believe Justin, believe Blake is full of it, and believe that Blake, Ryan, Brandon, Jenny, Isabella, Colleen, Taylor are just the worst of the worst of Hollywood; I will never support anything they do ever again - rotten tomatoes for all of them! 🍅🤣 BTW, you can be a fan of Taylor but just remember Taylor (in concert, at appearances, in videos, etc.) is merely a persona and she’s not an innocent but she does love to play victim especially when there are gullibles out there that eat up her ‘oh so innocent, poor me’ victim act. Everyone is of course entitled to have their own opinion… Like I said, I’m just beyond disappointed.
Awful

This was good at one point. I can’t believe a lawyer puts his name on this.
Disappointed

Long time follower. I admire your work but need to take a break from the podcasts. Making up your mind with very early information about Lively/ Baldoni was very disappointing. I think Liz was trying to give him the benefit of the doubt. Erick came through like I better support the woman here to not get in trouble. Can’t listen anymore, maybe will come back later. Also, glad to see that other reviews mention a similar sentiment.
Excellent Journalism!

Todays COJ was perhaps my favorite. I laughed so hard. I don’t think I have ever heard the word doofus used more in an adult conversation. 🤣The points you all have made are excellent, based in fact and I sure hope that Judge Gergle is listening. I always learn from your podcast. I could have listened to you all talk all day. Keep up your pesky work! ❤️❤️❤️
Think you got B. Lively wrong
Feb 13
Really enjoy podcast and advocacy. BUT after a deep dive into complaints and filings, I think your support and bias for Lively is wrong. I think she is manipulating the story for personal gain. If she falsely accused Baldoni it is disgraceful! Not only victimizing an innocent man, It will set back all the cases of women who have genuinely suffered. Please keep your journalist mind open.
LFG Petty Liz

Thrilled for the beginning of Liz’s Dis Track Era
