Publisher Description
A fierce Pict warrior. A woman with too many secrets. A love that cannot be denied.
Wrath is the formidable leader of the King's personal guard—a man forged by war, loyalty, and unshakable discipline. Known for his strength and feared for his temper, he has little patience for weakness. So when he stumbles upon an unconscious woman half-buried in a snowdrift, he's both irritated and intrigued. He's duty-bound to protect her, but everything about her unsettles him... including the way she seems to know him.
Verity awakens to the sight of the warrior she has long known—yet never met. Her connection to Wrath is complicated, impossible to explain, and wrapped in secrets she cannot yet reveal. All she knows is that she must find her missing sister… and that staying near Wrath might be the most dangerous thing of all—for her heart.
As snow blankets the Highlands and danger stalks their every step, Wrath and Verity are drawn together by a bond neither understands. With each passing mile, truths unravel, trust is tested, and desire ignites. But as secrets come to light, they must confront not only a perilous past—but a future neither dared to imagine.
In a world ruled by loyalty and steel, can love survive the storm?

As the 2nd book of these series, it is
still engaging as the characters circle back to the main theme.
The King's Warrior
Another great book with wonderful deep characters. Loved it. Would recommend it highly. Read the King's Executioner first. I absolutely loved Paine. I am just sorry 😢 we have to wait until book 3 comes in 2017. Finding out who shall be King Talon's. bride should prove very interesting. Great series. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Loved it!
Donna Fletcher is a genius when it comes to story telling. She keeps her readers on the edge of their seat as they read, waiting to find out what secrets are being kept, who and what the bad guys are up to and who will ultimately win in the end. This was a well-written story; it had suspense, passion, humor, good friends and bad guys. She brings it all together very nicely at the end. This is the second in this series and for me I liked this story better than the first one, even though the first book was a great story also, this one is my favorite of the two. Can’t wait for King Talon’s story.
