Based out of Chicago, Illinois, melodic hard rock ensemble Rubicon Cross was formed by longtime friends C.J. Snare and Chris Green, the former the founding member, lead vocalist, and chief songwriter for multi-platinum selling pop-metal outfit Firehouse, and the latter an English guitar virtuoso and founding member of Furyon and Pride. The project originated as a solo vehicle for the prolific Snare, but expanded into a full-on band affair with the addition of Green, who brought along Pride bass player Simon Farmery, guitarist Jeff Lerman, and drummer Robert Behnke. The band's eponymous debut long-player, a fiery blend of classic melodic metal and modern rock, was issued via the Universal imprint INgrooves in 2014. ~ James Christopher Monger
