About Teramaze

Teramaze are a progressive metal band from Australia founded by multi-instrumentalist, composer, and producer Dean Wells. Their unique style is built on intricate yet accessible melodies, lush, clean vocals, crushing riffs, and sophisticated rhythms. Their lyrics combine philosophical and sociological ideas with Christian ideals. They issued the early thrash set Doxology in 1995. Wells enlisted a new lineup in 2006, but didn't release anything until 2012's mature Anhedonia, then followed with 2014's Esoteric Symbolism and 2015's Her Halo. Are We Soldiers appeared in 2019, balancing Teramaze's progressive vision inside sophisticated compositions. They followed with 2020's I Wonder, the Sorella Minore EP, and the full-length And the Beauty They Perceive. Flight of the Wounded followed in 2022. The acclaimed concept album Eli: A Wonderful Fall from Grace appeared in May 2024, featuring returning lead vocalist Nathan Peachey. In January 2025, Teramaze released the five-track EP Desire Colours N Lust.
